Born and raised in West Lafayette, Indiana I have long had a fascination with studying the past. In 2012, I began my undergraduate career at Purdue University double majoring in History and Anthropology with a minor in Indigenous Studies. After my freshman year, I interned with the Department of Interpretation at Petersburg National Battlefield Park in south-central Virginia. This initial experience sparked my interest in archaeology. The following summer, I began excavations at Emerald Acropolis as part of a 2014 field school led by Dr. Susan Alt and Dr. Tim Pauketat. This past academic year, I worked under the direction of Dr. H. Kory Cooper. My work involved the classification and management of lithic remains residing in the care of Purdue's Department of Anthropology. My future plans include pursuing an advanced degree in Archaeology following my graduation in May of 2016.
